Carb Caps

A carb cap is a tool used in the practice of low-temperature dabbing, a method of consuming concentrates from a vaporizer. Carb caps are typically made of metal, glass, or quartz and are used to cover the nail or banger of a dab rig, which is a type of water pipe used for vaporizing concentrates. The purpose of the carb cap is to regulate the flow of air over the nail or banger, allowing the user to vaporize their concentrates at lower temperatures for a smoother, more flavorful dab. To use a carb cap, the user first heats the nail or banger to a high temperature using a blowtorch, then places a small amount of concentrate on the nail or banger. The carb cap is then placed over the nail or banger, trapping the heat inside and allowing the concentrate to vaporize at a lower temperature. The user can then inhale the vapor through the mouthpiece of the dab rig.

• Dome-shaped carb caps, which are the most common type of carb cap and are shaped like a dome or hemisphere. They are placed over the nail or banger, and the user can adjust the airflow by rotating the carb cap to cover or uncover the hole at the top.
• Bubble-style carb caps, which have a spherical shape and a small hole at the top. They are placed over the nail or banger and allow the user to adjust the airflow by rotating the carb cap or pressing down on the bubble to cover or uncover the hole.
• Directional carb caps, which have a pointed or angled tip that allows the user to direct the flow of air over the nail or banger. This type of carb cap is used to create swirling or vortex-like patterns in the concentrate, which can improve the vaporization process and enhance the flavor of the dab.
• Stemless carb caps, which are designed to be used with stemless dab rigs, which have a nail or banger that is set directly into the base of the dab rig. Stemless carb caps are typically smaller and more compact than other types of carb caps, and they are designed to fit directly over the nail or banger without the need for a stem.

There may be other types of carb caps as well, and new designs are constantly being developed. Some carb caps are also designed to be used with specific types of nails or bangers, such as quartz bangers or e-nails, and may not be compatible with other types of dab rigs.
