Quartz bangers for dab rigs

A quartz banger is the bowl of your dab rig: you heat it, drop your concentrate in, and it vaporizes. Quartz heats evenly, holds heat well and doesn’t add any taste, which is why it’s the standard for dabbing. We carry every common style, in every joint size and angle, from simple flat tops to slurpers and recyclers.

Banger styles

• Flat top and angle cut: the classic banger. Easy to heat, easy to clean, fits most carb caps.
• Gavel bangers: a wider, deeper bowl that holds heat longer and fits bigger dabs.
• Terp slurpers: a dish on top of a pillar with a slot cut in the side. Air pulls the oil through the slot, and you use a marble and a pill to control the flow. Big flavor, very even.
• Blenders: air comes in through angled holes, so the oil spins in a vortex as you hit it.
• Terpcycler (recycling) bangers: built to circulate the air and oil inside the banger for a smooth, efficient hit.
• Control Tower: our slurper-style set with matching marble and caps, ready to go.
• Thermochromic and thermal bangers: thermochromic bangers change color with temperature so you can see when to dab; thermal bangers have a double wall that holds heat.

Banger sizes for rigs

Three things decide whether a banger fits your rig:

• Joint size: 14mm is the most common. Small rigs and minis often use 10mm; bigger rigs use 18mm.
• Male or female: if your rig’s joint is female (an opening), you need a male banger, and the other way round.
• Angle: a 90° banger goes on a rig whose joint points straight up. A 45° banger goes on a joint that is angled.

Which banger should I start with?
A flat top or gavel banger with a directional carb cap. They’re forgiving, easy to clean and fit the most caps.

Terp slurper or blender?
Both spin the oil for even, flavorful hits. A slurper uses a marble and pill on a pillar; a blender spins the oil in an open bowl and is simpler to clean. Our guide Control Tower vs Terp Slurper compares them.

How do I clean a quartz banger?
Swab it with a cotton swab right after each dab while it’s still warm. For a deep clean, let it cool fully and soak it in isopropyl alcohol.
